Title: Sr. Product Manager – Tech, Data Products
Location: 1 Washington Park, Newark , NJ 07102
Duties: Manage the definition, development, delivery, and implementation of the next generation of data products/services while driving cross-company initiatives to pilot niche technology and business initiatives. Develop business plans and product/service positioning in the marketplace. Coordinate with cross functional teams, including Technology, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Analytics, and business management in order to create a data product / service plan or business model. Identify and evaluate market opportunity for existing and future data products/services and acts as liaison with other functional groups in the development process of new data products/services or enhancement of existing ones. Partner to build and execute on new data product initiatives and roadmaps each year. Organize cross-functional activities, including collaborating with and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and presenting projects to senior leadership on a regular basis. Build relationships and identify stakeholders across the organization. Influence other teams within and across organizations and externally. Up to 10% domestic and international travel to attend conferences and lead internal trainings/meetings. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience as a Data Product Manager, Digital Analytics Manager, Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or a related occupation.
Experience may be gained concurrently and must include three (3) years in each of the following:
- Managing use cases, business strategy, and financial impact of data products
- Conducting analyses of business opportunities related to data products
- Managing data-related projects throughout the full development life cycle, including external vendor management
- Working with large and complex systems and datasets
- Utilizing SQL
- Digital analytics using Adobe or Google Analytics
- Partnering with data consumers to ensure data products meet requirements for business intelligence or modeling use cases.
Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience.
