Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance Manager to be a key member of the Deals Desk Finance team, supporting some of our most strategic deals. The role will partner with sales teams, sales operations, business development, and product teams in working on customer deals to develop successful financial proposals that are win-win for all. This role will be a strategic partner to the business, be embedded in the most complex deals, and drive evaluating economics of complex deals.
The candidate will be responsible for building and developing models, tools and mechanisms necessary to address business opportunities, innovate with automation, continuously improve internal controls, and drive relationship building across AWS. This candidate will be responsible for providing cross functional leadership across multiple teams and initiatives including other Finance, Sales, and Operations teams. This person must have a passion for detail and the ability to dive deep into the foundational building blocks of the AWS Services, Sales Organizations and Business Development Organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive finance support from the very start of the deal process through closing, and provide insights and input to optimize decision making by partnering accross senior leadership and deal structuring teams.
- Develop complex financial models that calculate customer profitability.
- Possess the passion and demonstrated skills for developing relationships, processes and continuous improvement.
- Understand the various AWS Services, their economics, and how each impacts profitability and various financial outputs.
- Independent and entrepreneurial showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Key job responsibilities
This Sr Finance Manager will work closely with the deal structuring sales teams, gain deep knowledge of both the strategy and the processes involved, and leverage business acumen and critical thinking to add value throughout the deal process. A successful candidate will be able to earn trust with business partners across several groups of stakeholders, dive deep into the subject matter, and be able to communicate effectively and drive decisions across VP level stakeholders.
