A Senior Foreman - Civil is a leadership position on a construction site responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring project safety and quality, managing a crew and subcontractors, and coordinating resources and schedules to complete civil construction projects on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, managing materials, tracking costs, delegating tasks, and communicating with project managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Oversee the daily activities of civil construction crews.
- Interpret project plans and specifications to guide construction work.
- Monitor job progress and ensure project milestones are met.
- Team and Crew Leadership:
- Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors.
- Delegate tasks to team members, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
- Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and local building codes.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that workmanship and materials meet project specifications.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing the proper use of tools, machinery, and safety gear.
- Resource and Schedule Management:
- Develop and manage daily work schedules.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, tracking expenses for labor and materials.
- Coordinate material deliveries and resource allocation to meet project needs.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports, including notes on materials used, schedule adjustments, and site conditions.
- Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

- Must be able to travel 70% of the time to various US locations.

Education & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 4 years' experience in warehouse/plant/operations environment. 2 years supervisory/lead experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
