The Opportunity
We are hiring for the Specialist Pricing within our Abbott Point of Care (APOC) Division in Abbott Park, IL.
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for assisting with meeting the Division's strategic direction and tactical implementation of pricing analytics, pricing implementation, contract implementation, audits with error remediation, and other tactical objectives. This position will work with Sales, Management, and Finance to apply business management principles and financial concepts to implement recommended strategies.
What you will work on
- Responsible for price implementation, associated analytics, and strategy support.
- Monitor contract implementation to ensure pricing integrity and remediate any related errors.
- Calculation, communication, and oversight of GPO administrative fee payments and reporting.
- Project management to support business needs with contracting and pricing initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of and update as needed all applicable procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate behavioral anchors that support all Abbott core competencies.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Typically requires 3 to 5 years in a similar position or other relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), including managing GPO Admin Fees. Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office products. Advanced Excel skills and experience with databases such as Access.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities independently in fast-paced environments.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret complex data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable recommendations aligned with business strategy.
- Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills; collaborates well with internal teams, sales, and customers.
- Problem-solver with sound business judgment and a focus on innovative, strategic solutions.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% to support.
