The Performance Engineer, MMIS reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
This independent contributor position has responsibilities that include assisting in leading process improvement activities across the health system, managing departmental metrics and serving as a liaison for the Supply Chain division to support health system projects and initiatives. The Performance Engineer places the needs of the customer as a first priority and demonstrates the skills necessary to meet and exceed expectations. The Performance Engineer works collaboratively across the division, hospital, academic medical center and health system in a continuous pursuit to optimize and standardize supply chain processes and improve services provided to clinical staff to support the highest quality patient care.
The Performance Engineer, MMIS is responsible for partnering with other departmental teams to maintain our core business systems, working with NMHC and external business leaders to support analytics, automation, project and reporting needs, and to enable our modernization plans with innovative solutions. The Performance Engineer will be the main MMIS point of contact for integration activities, and will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing the integration of the all tables, attributes, dependencies and integrations associated with Master Data. In general, we expect this leader to work seamlessly across business functions, and implement the strategic view of automation to support our complete P2P business processes.
The position is accountable for assessing, planning, developing, and implementing strategies and tactics to optimize the performance of all Materials Management Information Services (MMIS) and Master Data Management (MDM) Business functions, making use of future business platforms and analytics tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in business reviews with leadership to develop and validate the systems and tools required to achieve operational excellence.
- Assists MMIS teams in the creation of standard processes and standard work.
- Assists teams that perform 5S events and set the foundation to sustain using audits, standard work, KPI’s and teaching Managing for Daily Improvement.
- Assists in the creation of tools and PeopleSoft application enhancements to optimize MMIS business process performance and efficiency.
- Analyzes and interprets Master Material data and formulates recommendations for integrations/conversions and maintenance.
- Designs and implements solutions integrating external master data into NM ERP applications like Item Master and other related tables.
- Assists in the creation of optimal and standardized practices for the MMIS Department.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience preferably in Supply Chain Operations (purchasing, inventory, distribution, accounts payable), in a multi-site healthcare setting.
- 3-5 years PeopleSoft or other ERP experience.
- Knowledge of MMIS processes in medical and/or service fields
- Excellent computer skills and data management in operation systems/standard application Software.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with SQL or ERP database query.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.
