The Opportunity
The Editorial Lead, reporting to the Associate Creative Director for Creative Operations, leads will oversee our editorial team and ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency across all agency deliverables. This role is critical in maintaining brand integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting cross-functional teams through expert editorial guidance.
What You’ll Work On
- Supervise and mentor a small team of editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure consistent editorial excellence.
- Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines across all formats and channels.
- Attend Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review meetings to represent editorial interests and ensure content meets compliance standards.
- Track and update Veeva claims, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication of changes to relevant teams.
- Develop and refine editorial workflows, checklists, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality control.
- Partner with Traffic, Creative, Strategy, and Account to ensure editorial alignment and support project goals.
- Maintaining brand style guides and supporting documents for agency use.
- Training writers/editors on Veeva and claims usage; managing Veeva access for agency.
- Onboarding new editors and bench editors; resourcing and managing bench editors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing.
- 5+ years of editing/copywriting experience, preferably in the retail space.
- Proven experience in editorial roles, preferably within an agency or regulated industry.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and brand voice.
- Familiarity with Wrike & Veeva, or similar content management systems.
- Experience participating in MLR reviews and understanding of compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision.
- Experience managing editors/writers.
- Background in healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries.
- Experience with editorial style guides and brand governance.
- Proficiency in project management tools and editorial tracking systems.
- Impeccable grammar and a strong working knowledge of AMA Style

$85,300.00 – $170,700.00
