Description POSITION SUMMARYThe senior therapist is responsible for providing direct clinical services to JBRC clients and their families. In addition, the senior therapist is responsible for providing clinical leadership as delegated by their administrative supervisor with the units and as back-up to the assigned units' administrative supervisor. This clinical leadership includes responding to client emergencies and facilitating smooth daily operations at clinical units including arranging staff coverage. The senior therapist will also provide individual and group clinical supervision to assigned outpatient therapists/counselor interns. While the senior therapist is not responsible for performance evaluations or disciplinary action, senior therapists are involved in providing input to the performance evaluation and disciplinary processes for the therapist staff for whom they have provided clinical supervision. The Senior Therapist will provide guidance and support around mental health needs of patients.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimal Qualifications:Education: Master's degree in behavioral health field.
Licensure: LCSW or LPC, and a LCADC in State of New Jersey
Valid NJ driver's license for use of Company Vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:Training and experience in providing clinical supervision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Direct Services - Provide at minimum 50% face to face direct billable services.
- Office Operations - As delegated by administrative supervisor or as back up to administrative supervisor, ensure daily operations of clinical services. Daily operations would include (but are not limited to)
- Responding to client emergencies or complaints including arranging staff coverage to handle such emergencies
- Ensuring care review process is coordinated in units
- Scheduling (weekly and base schedules)
- Management of group census and outreach to community referrals when necessary
- Ensure all NJSAMS and NJGEARS transitions are current and correct (DASIE, Pre-Auths, Utilization rates, Clinical Data etc.)
- Alerting the unit administrative director of any potential problems or situations requiring administrative intervention
- Assist in the preparation and participation of site visits including accreditations for all licensure and contracted services for the addiction program
- Coordination among ABH services lines regarding addiction/gambling treatment services
- Supervision - As delegated by the administrative supervisor, provide individual and group clinical supervision and training ( for drug, alcohol, and gambling addictions including co-occurring) to assigned outpatient therapist/ counselor interns staff at a frequency outlined in ABH policy and procedure and/or state facility licensure, and maintain clinical documentation on all supervision. This includes signing off on all clinical documentation, and staff CADC/LCADC and CCGC state application(s) for certification and licensure, according to state licensure regulation.

- Documentation must be completed within one (1) calendar day of service delivery
- Productivity goals shall meet % as designated by department

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, and reading, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. Spends time with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone.
