Job Description
**This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week for the Pain Management clinic located at Lake Forest Hospital. Schedule is Monday through Friday. Surgery scheduling experience is preferred.**

Responsibilities:
- Interacts with patients, their representatives, physicians, physician office staff, employers and others to gather and ensure accuracy of demographic, billing and clinical information.
- Interprets and verifies completeness of physician orders.
- Produces and distributes required forms, documents and reports with accurate patient information.
- Enters all necessary demographic, diagnostic, , and insurance information.
- Maintains 97% or better accuracy on all registrations.
- Maintains exemplary level of customer service.
- Reviews new and previously recorded information with patient, physician and others to ensure accurate collection and analysis of information.
- Enters patient type and service codes; establishes account parameters to ensure that revenue is properly recorded and bills are produced in a timely manner.
- Ensures current contractual requirements are met in registration process.
- Receives and enters physician orders for exams and services.
- Communicates instructions and arrival times to patient for each exam.
- Directs patients to appropriate location for check-in and testing.
- Communicates schedule changes to appropriate service department.
- Works with physician and service departments to schedule emergency add-on procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1 to 2 years specialized or technical training, or equivalent, following successful completion of high school.
- More than one up to three years of related work experience required, demonstrating a working knowledge of the job responsibilities and methods.
Preferred:
- Customer service experience.
