The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the GES Global Engineering Services division.
As the Sr Systems Analyst, you will analyze and define system scope and objectives grounded in user requirements, designing or enhancing complex workflows to address technical challenges and achieve targeted results.
What You’ll Work On
- Develop, implement and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade processes for multiple software and systems in tandem with architects and system engineers.
- Work together with development operations and development teams to develop and implement monitoring and security solutions in enterprise and stand-alone applications.
- Secure multiple applications and up to thousands of non-traditional technology assets across the Abbott infrastructure.
- Protect applications in compliance with multiple, global privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct oversight of physical security systems and security configuration administration and define and implement solutions to reduce risk to systems and accounts.
- Collaborate with team and lead breach and incident response activities for supporting applications.
- Actively monitor, assess, recommend, and lead tactical and strategic initiatives based on new and emerging threats posing risk to the Abbott environment.
- Lead remediation efforts after security assessment findings outline weaknesses requiring attention.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and management of the system.
- Provide guidance and training to less experience analysts.
- Provide project support and project management.
Required Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor's degree.
- Major/Field of Study in Engineering, Computer Science or IT Degree
- 4+ years' cybersecurity or IT management system experience with a strong preference for physical security systems experience
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Networking and Cyber Security Background experience
- Managing Enterprise Architecture
- Physical Security Systems Knowledge
- Experience Managing IoT Devices
- Certified in CISSP/ITIL/Comptia Security +
