Child Placement Therapist to provide clinical services to youth in therapeutic foster care. In this role, you will deliver trauma‑informed therapy, crisis intervention, and person‑centered clinical support to help stabilize placements, strengthen family functioning, and promote reunification.

Your Role in Our Mission
As a Child Placement Therapist, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering high‑quality, community‑based therapeutic services. You will provide clinical assessments, develop and monitor person‑centered plans, support caregivers with behavioral strategies, and guide youth and families toward improved coping, stability, and long‑term well‑being.
Your work will take place across therapeutic foster homes, natural environments, and community settings, ensuring care is accessible, person‑centered, and aligned with best practices.
What You’ll Do
- Provide weekly individual and family therapy, including reunification work, in home‑ or community‑based settings.
- Deliver crisis intervention services to stabilize placements and support youth and caregivers.
- Complete and update Comprehensive Clinical Assessments annually and as required at placement.
- Facilitate Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and participate in multidisciplinary staffing and supervision.
- Develop, implement, and monitor person-centered plans, offering psychoeducation and behavioral support to children and caregivers.
- Assist foster parents through training, behavioral coaching, and skills‑building interventions to enhance coping and stability.
- Maintain a therapeutic caseload, document all services to ESPH/state/federal standards, and coordinate transitions across service systems.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Licensure
- Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited institution
- Active or provisional LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT or LCAS
- Note: If you do not have an active or provisional license, you must have a Master of Social Work and be willing to take the appropriate steps (with support) to submit an application for an LCSW-A.
Experience Requirements
- Documented clinical experience serving children, adolescents, and families
- Experience with foster care populations preferred
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong assessment, documentation, and therapeutic intervention skills
- Ability to provide crisis response and community‑based care
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance
