Job Summary:
The Governance, Risk, and Compliance Intern program is a paid summer internship designed to provide practical work experience and development opportunities for college students wanting to bridge the gap between the classroom and real-world application. Interns are exposed to various business functions, corporate culture, and will participate in a variety of activities aimed at fulfilling the internship objectives.
This program is approximately 8-9 weeks, intended only for the summer and will end no later than September 1st.
Your Role on the Expedition:
- Assist in planning and implementing security controls for all US entities.
- Execute day-to-day GRC tasks under the guidance of the GRC Lead.
- Conduct vendor security assessments - distribute questionnaires, review responses, follow up on remediation items.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist in drafting, revising, and formatting security policies, procedures, and other security documentation.
- Assist in creation and implementation of compliance monitoring dashboards.
- Assist in Information Security work as needed.
Your Ticket to Success:
- Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Information Security, Computer Science, or similar fields. Alternatively, related project or education experience is great.
- Ability to understand technical content and communicate it to others.
- Passion for cybersecurity or related fields.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and general computer use.
- Problem-solving mindset, and keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication.

This is a 100% Remote Internship.

Time for Take-off:
While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
