The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.
As the Senior Manager, Wellbeing you will provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise for U.S. and global wellbeing initiatives, including wellness, mental health and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Work closely with the regional benefit teams in defining and executing Abbott’s global wellbeing vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
Additionally, oversee U.S. family care programs, fitness center and Early Discoveries, Lake County’s on-site childcare center.
What You’ll Work On
- Coordinate and manage Global Wellbeing Strategy: Drive Abbott’s global wellbeing vision, integrating physical, mental, social, and financial wellbeing across regions.
- Manage Family Care Solutions: Oversee U.S. family care programs, fitness center and Early Discoveries, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high-quality care.
- Design & Evaluate Programs: Develop and implement wellness programs for U.S. employees; monitor effectiveness through data-driven metrics.
- Vendor & Budget Oversight: Manage global and U.S. vendor relationships.
- Communications & Engagement: Deliver global and U.S. wellbeing communications; lead ambassador networks and engagement initiatives.
- Crisis Response: Coordinate support for workplace incidents impacting employee wellbeing.
- Manage a team of 3 employees and oversight of wellness champions and contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years in wellbeing and benefits strategy, with at least 5 years in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience managing U.S. and global programs and family care services.
- Strong background in vendor management and large-scale program implementation.
- Strategic planning and execution of global wellbeing initiatives.
- Advanced data analytics and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and global ambassador networks.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and employee wellbeing.

The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00
