The Opportunity
This position works out of our Montehiedra Town Centre in San Juan, PR location in the International Finance Operations.
As the Senior Contracting Analyst works directly with Contracting Manager, Sales, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Billing & Reimbursement, Marketing, and Finance to apply specialized knowledge and skills in commercial contracts, bids, proposals and negotiation to support Division's strategies and maximize performance against business goals. This role must have the ability to research, analyze, and interpret pricing, rebates and business data to produce substantiated recommendations to internal stakeholders to develop contracts that effectively meet their business needs. Uses analytical skills to proactively improve internal reporting, models, and metrics. This position would be expected to be able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
What You’ll Do
Review, evaluate and execute requests for commercial agreements for business channels of operating divisions, this includes:
Development, preparation and maintenance of new contracts proposals, amendments, extensions, renewals, etc.
Responsible for the maintenance of Contract Logs and consistent tracking, updates and analysis of active contracts.
Collect commercial, financial, technical information and related approvals required.
Active participation in contract negotiations for business channels
Active liaison relations with commercial teams and Health Plans as part of contracts negotiations, preparation, amendments, disputes, modifications, legal counselors, maintenance, etc.
Collaborate with commercial teams to assist in contract proposals and business strategies including rebates, chargebacks, pricing agreements, among others.
Foster internal and external customer relationships to effectively understand and meet customer needs.
Assist in the review and updates of Contracting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business changes and compliance with Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) policies.
Ensure compliance and adherence with Contracting policies and procedures.
Serve as liaison with the Compliance and Legal departments/counselors to ensure contract modifications approval, access to latest pre-approved terms & conditions, as well as to serve as guidance in any issues raised during active negotiations.
Effective participation and coordination in internal and external audits and interacting with auditors and management regarding audit information.
Responsible for Ad Hoc requests from Contracting Manager, commercial teams and CFS team.
Assist commercial team for the accuracy and timely submission of information to comply with bids deadlines for submission.
Responsible for reviewing contracting documentation and ensuring maintenance of effective Record Retention in the area.
Ensure rebate payments are aligned with related contracts as applicable.
Responsible for maintaining the Contracts Compliance Centralized System platform for payors contracts to monitor and facilitate proper compliance of key obligations and requirements of these contracts and maintain on-going collaboration with related stakeholders to ensure timely execution and follow-up actions accordingly.
Serve as back-up for Contracting Manager role as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, commercial operations, pricing/sales data analysis.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Demonstrated interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to listen, resolve moderately complex problems, deal with unresolved issues, delays and unexpected events, while effectively communicating and maintaining rapport with Sales Representatives, Commercial Leaders and all levels of personnel within Abbott divisions.
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work under general supervision and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong digital skills with the ability to use systems, tools, and technology effectively to manage data, documentation, and reporting.
Language Proficiency in Spanish and English.

The base pay for this position is
$66,000.00 – $132,000.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
