The Controls Lead will work closely with mechanical and controls engineering teams to implement industrial automation and control equipment for the success of Amazon Leo.
This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you’ll work with leaders in multiple technology areas. Ownership and an ability to thrive when faced with ambiguity is essential.

Key job responsibilities
Lead and coordinate team of Controls Technicians in daily shop operations
Manage work intake through JIRA, reviewing requests for quality, completeness, and documentation adequacy
Determine project priorities by assessing complexity and urgency, interfacing with requestors to clarify requirements when needed
Allocate resources and assign work to technicians based on skill requirements, project complexity, and learning opportunities for team development
Take on simple or complex technical tasks directly when appropriate
Review and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts to prepare for implementation
Serve as quality control before and during power-up and commissioning activities
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues across manufacturing and lab systems
Ensure all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and documentation requirements are followed
Verify implementation compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
