Amazon's is looking for a Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager who thrives in the ambiguity of a zero-to-one development and manufacturing environment, sitting at the intersection of construction, manufacturing engineering, and R&D to help transform our facility into a dynamic instrument that accelerates engineering velocity while embodying Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Key job responsibilities
- Support end-to-end execution of facility retrofits, construction projects, and equipment installations, serving as a key interface between internal stakeholders, equipment vendors, and construction contractors
- Coordinate with the Tool Install team responsible for equipment layouts, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operational support
- Contribute to the physical transformation of development and manufacturing sites, supporting facility layout optimization and construction approaches through first-principles thinking
- Partner with R&D and Manufacturing Engineers to define equipment layouts and utility requirements (power, air, process cooling) aligned with manufacturing and R&D roadmaps
- Support the deployment and operation of a rapid-response internal machine shop with CNC machining, fabrication, and prototyping capabilities
- Enable rapid development cycles through dynamic facility capabilities and efficient modifications, supporting product development timelines during critical phases
- Support facility operations and maintenance, including preventive maintenance programs, spare parts management, equipment reliability initiatives, and sustaining activities
- Coordinate with specialized trade contractors (electricians, pipefitters, riggers) and manufacturing equipment vendors
- Support capital budget (CapEx) tracking for facility upgrades and equipment installation, contributing to cost optimization and vendor performance efforts
- Uphold a safety-first culture, data-driven maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance across all operations
