Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved communities around the world?
It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Finance Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, manufacturing and FP&A, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls.
We are seeking a Finance Manager to serve as the strategic finance partner to Amazon Leo's Quality Assurance organization and Manufacturing Analytics & Reporting. This role owns the end-to-end financial management of the QA organization — spanning source inspections, inbound quality, manufacturing quality operations, Payload Processing Facility (PPF) quality, and equipment calibration — while simultaneously developing the analytics frameworks and reporting tools that provide financial visibility across satellite production operations.
This is a high-impact role that directly influences how leadership understands satellite production economics. You will develop and publish Total Cost Per Unit (TCPU) metrics, build KPI dashboards from SAP/MES data, own production reporting, and drive the financial planning for a QA organization managing a large workforce with significant OpEx budgets.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the annual operating plan (OP1/OP2), quarterly forecasts, and monthly close processes for the QA organization
- Develop and maintain headcount models for both full-time and contingent workforce, partnering with QA leadership to assess staffing needs against production volume and quality metrics
- Build financial frameworks to analyze workforce utilization vs. inspection workload and create tracking mechanisms to monitor actual vs. forecasted spend
- Leverage Amazon's AI tools to develop intelligent analytical dashboards, automate anomaly detection, generate predictive insights on cost trends and material scrap, and accelerate reporting cycles across manufacturing and quality operations
- Simplify complex data sets into concise performance indicators that provide meaningful, actionable data to end users
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) framework quantifying the total financial impact of quality failures across the production lifecycle
- Build financial models linking scrap rates and yield loss to TCPU impact, enabling leadership to prioritize root cause corrective actions with the highest cost-avoidance potential
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to Sr. Managers, and cross-functional partners
- Provide financial insights during Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), and executive operating reviews
