Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
This role is for a highly dynamic and motivated individual that will work on overseeing hardware reliability test campaigns and improving reliability test procedures. We are looking for an individual who works well with engineering teams with minimal oversight to empirically characterize the reliability performance of Amazon Leo satellite hardware. This will be an R&D focused position so expect the work to be dynamic and exciting.
Key job responsibilities
• Oversee and set up reliability test campaigns spanning HALT, HASS, and ALT.
• Establish, document, and release reliability test engineering procedures, including fixture design best practices, chamber programming and stress profile verification, instrumentation setup, and standardization of test trackers and tools.
• Maintain continuous functioning of Test Chambers and testing resources such as accelerometers, thermocouples, DAQs, power supplies, and other relevant hardware.
• Train reliability engineering and laboratory personnel on HALT, HASS, and ALT operations and lessons learned.
• Flag reliability test failures for engineering review, and prepare data package(s) to assist failure investigations.
• Work closely with reliability engineers to optimize reliability test procedures and practices.
