We’re looking for a Design Technologist to join the éShop Innovation team and help shape how creative work moves from idea to production.
You will work at the intersection of design, engineering, and creative systems, building and evolving AI-enabled tools and intelligent workflows that help teams create, review, collaborate, and deliver at scale. The role combines rapid prototyping, systems thinking, and practical problem-solving across design-to-production workflows, agentic systems, model integrations, quality gates, and production platforms.
You will turn ambiguous creative and operational needs into functional solutions, test new approaches using APIs and data, and work closely with design, engineering, science, and operations to move successful prototypes into reliable content and UX solutions.
Key job responsibilities
1. Own AI-enabled design technology projects from problem definition through prototyping, production integration, launch, and iteration.
2. Build functional prototypes, node-based workflows, and scalable AI pipelines within real constraints, including architecture, data access, security, performance, and approved technologies.
3. Create GenAI workflows for imagery, video, 3D, motion, templates, content production, and customer experiences.
4. Build custom GenAI tools, APIs, and platforms that support creative teams at scale.
5. Partner with UX, science, product, engineering, and creative leadership to test workflows and align AI capabilities with customer and business needs.
6. Build design-to-production systems that reduce manual handoffs and move creative work reliably into production.
7. Use model APIs, production data, and automation to solve complex creative and operational problems.
8. Design agentic systems that coordinate models, tools, data, automation, memory, and human review across creative workflows.
9. Rapidly prototype and compare multiple approaches, identify technical and UX risks, and recommend a clear path forward.
10. Lead multiple projects in parallel, managing dependencies, milestones, technical decisions, and stakeholder expectations.
11. Establish quality gates, evaluation methods, review mechanisms, and standards for prompting, data, benchmarking, and output quality.
12. Turn successful experiments into reliable, reusable, and maintainable tools that integrate with eShop production platforms.
A day in the life
You will be a hands-on problem solver and builder, turning complex creative and operational challenges into working AI-enabled tools, systems, and workflows. Your day may include defining the technical approach, prototyping with model APIs and production data, building agent-based and node-based systems, and testing GenAI workflows against real quality and production constraints.
You will connect the right people, systems, and decisions to move work forward. Partnering with UX Design, Engineering, Product Management, Applied Science, and design system teams, you will resolve dependencies, make tradeoffs, and turn experiments into reliable production solutions. You will also build visibility into workflow performance, quality, and adoption so teams can identify issues, improve outcomes, and make informed decisions.
