AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, procurement, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure — we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, procurement managers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers — all within an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) works to deliver scalable solutions to source, build, and maintain our socially responsible data center supply chains. We are a team of highly motivated, engaged, and responsive professionals who enable the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS — powering thousands of businesses across more than 190 countries.
The Data Center Sourcing & Procurement (DCSP) team is seeking a results-oriented, technically-minded Program Manager to lead our team of Category Managers and Supply Chain Managers from a data and AI perspective, supporting AWS Data Center build projects across the Americas region. More program manager than supply chain manager, you will partner with the team to build dashboards, write code, and integrate our internal tools into a cohesive engine for fast, data-driven decisions and clean execution. You will set the strategy for how we best leverage AI and analytics to generate insights with speed — turning data into better sourcing and supply decisions for critical Long Lead Equipment (LLE), including Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical systems. While the role centers on analytics and program leadership, you'll operate within a supply chain that must maintain unconstrained supply at AMER scale, ensuring these critical equipment categories are available to support AWS Data Center construction schedules. Technical understanding of the Electrical Equipment category and the ability to analyze drawings and specifications is a plus, but coding ability and a track record of building data-driven tooling are what will set a candidate apart.
Key job responsibilities
Program Manager, Supply Chain Analytics & AI
Strategy Overview
We are looking for a technically-minded Program Manager to lead our team of Category Managers and Supply Chain Managers from a data and AI perspective. This is a role for someone who codes, builds dashboards, and knows how to turn a sprawling set of internal tools into a cohesive, insight-generating engine. More program manager than supply chain manager, the successful candidate will set the strategy for how our team leverages AI and analytics to make faster, smarter, data-driven decisions — and will execute on that vision hands-on.
You'll be the person who bridges supply chain operations and technology: partnering with category and supply chain managers to understand their decisions, then building the tooling, models, and workflows that make those decisions sharper and quicker. If you're energized by the idea of being the AI and analytics force-multiplier for a procurement organization, this role is for you.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Analytics, Tooling & AI Strategy (core of this role)
Partner with Category Managers and Supply Chain Managers to build dashboards and analytical tools that drive data-driven decisions and clean execution.
Lead the team from an AI perspective — defining the strategy for how we best utilize our internal tools to generate insights with speed.
Write code to automate workflows, integrate disparate data sources, and build scalable, self-service reporting.
Develop predictive analytics models for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
Create analytical reports that deliver actionable insights to business partners and stakeholders.
Support and accelerate data-driven decision making for electrical equipment procurement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Design Engineering, Planning & Delivery, DCSP teams, and Delivery Management to support dashboard product roadmap development.
Influence supplier and technology selection to provide maximum benefit to AWS
Continuous Improvement & Innovation.
Drive standardization initiatives across programs to reduce complexity and improve supply chain efficiency.
Identify and implement innovative supply chain technologies and best practices to enhance flexibility and resilience
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in electrical distribution to maintain competitive advantage
Be a subject matter expert for the customers, technologies, and markets in which you engage.
Requires travel approximately up to 15% of the year.
