Amazon Leo Payload Processing Facility (PPF) is seeking an experienced logistics professional to assist with the 2nd shift activities listed below in both Florida as well as in French Guiana. This role is expected to travel up to 25% of the time internationally. Successful candidates must also be able to pass the federal security checks to receive an access badge to Kennedy Space Center.
Key job responsibilities
• Write, review, and provide feedback on team-related SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities at the PPF
• Receive Amazon Leo managed and supplier shipments
• Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material
• Execute functional requirements of global trade and transportation management software requirements
• Provide guidance and expertise in logistics related discussions
• Accurately track and account for all inventory located at the PPF warehouse to include cycle counts
• Efficiently deliver material to PPF stakeholders, both physically and virtually
• Coordinate trailer or container movements within the PPF Yard
• Meet operational metrics related to warehouse receiving and inventory activities
• Effectively communicate high priority matters with Transportation leadership
• Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules
• Operate equipment including; forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand cart
• Role requires up to 25% travel
A day in the life
You will start your morning reviewing shift turnover notes and checking inbound shipment schedules, flagging any delivery risks that need immediate attention. From there, you might join a daily standup to align on priorities with the warehouse and transportation teams. Throughout the day, you could be at the dock receiving shipments and verifying material condition, posting goods receipts in SAP, or out on the warehouse floor running cycle counts and resolving inventory variances. You will use forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stage, and deliver hardware to the cleanroom and integration teams. You will lead a team of warehouse associates across receiving and inventory activities, write and review SOPs, and connect with engineering and production peers to troubleshoot supply challenges together. This role includes up to 25% international travel to support launch operations in French Guiana.
