Job Summary
NPK is seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Transformation to help execute the company's inorganic growth strategy, ensure successful integration of acquired businesses, and lead key enterprise transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Development Officer, this role serves as a critical leader across the full transaction lifecycle, from acquisition screening and due diligence through integration planning, synergy capture, value realization, and strategic business transformation.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with exceptional project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, business unit leaders, and functional teams to evaluate acquisition opportunities, execute transactions, lead integration efforts, and drive transformation initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, support long-term growth, and create shareholder value.
This role is intended for a high-performing Corporate Development, Strategy, or Finance leader ready to take the next step into a broader enterprise leadership position with significant executive exposure and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Development
- Lead and support M&A activities, including acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures.
- Develop financial models, valuations, investment cases, and transaction recommendations.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts, identify risks and synergies, and support integration planning.
- Manage transaction execution, including timelines, stakeholders, negotiations, and decision-making processes.
- Maintain acquisition pipelines and conduct market, competitor, and target analyses.
- Build relationships with external advisors and prepare materials for executive leadership and the Board.
Integration & Value Capture
- Lead integration planning and execution from signing through post-close.
- Develop integration roadmaps, governance processes, KPIs, reporting tools, and value-capture plans.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to ensure operational continuity, effective change management, and culture integration.
- Track synergy realization and mitigate risks to achieving transaction objectives.
- Enhance M&A and integration playbooks and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Prepare executive and Board-level updates, translating complex information into actionable insights.
Enterprise Transformation
- Lead and support strategic transformation initiatives designed to improve operational performance, organizational effectiveness, scalability, and enterprise value.
- Partner with executive leadership and functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute business improvement opportunities across the organization.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive process optimization, organizational alignment, and sustainable change.
- Monitor initiative progress, identify risks and barriers, and implement corrective actions to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Support change management efforts by helping leaders and teams successfully adopt new processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Establish best practices and repeatable frameworks for managing strategic initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and enterprise-wide transformation programs.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar advanced credential preferred.
Experience
- 5-10+ years of progressive relevant experience in:
- Corporate Development
- Investment Banking
- Transaction Advisory
- Private Equity portfolio company environments
- Any related M&A-focused role.
- Significant hands-on M&A experience, including leadership of due diligence workstreams and participation in multiple completed transactions.
- Strong understanding of transaction execution, financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and investment case development.
- Experience supporting post-acquisition integration efforts and cross-functional value creation initiatives. Highly organized self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
