Amazon’s Talent & Content Services team is seeking an executive to evaluate and lead new programs across Amazon Entertainment. This role will work directly with Amazon Entertainment leadership to drive strategic initiatives, collaborate with Corporate Development on new opportunities, and help shape program, product, and content experimentation.
This role will be at the forefront of growth and experimentation for Amazon Entertainment. This individual will identify and evaluate new business opportunities, based on consumer insights and/or external work in partnership with our Corporate Development team. We expect this role to work with external partners (e.g., startups, entrepreneurs, and VCs) to explore next-generation technologies and services, then lead cross-functional Amazon Entertainment teams in assessing product, partnership, investment, and/or M&A prospects. They will cultivate high-level industry relationships, highlight trends and opportunities for Amazon Entertainment leadership, and drive experimentation with cross-functional teams. This position requires a blend of entertainment industry expertise, startup acumen, and a proven track record in consumer product insights.

This position is based in Los Angeles and requires regular (<25%) travel.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new strategic business opportunities for Amazon Entertainment, including new trends, initiatives, partnerships, investments, and/or acquisitions. Lead cross-functional teams including executive leadership, Content, Product, and Engineering to assess these opportunities.
- Full-funnel business opportunity management, in partnership with Corporate Development – market screens and analysis, pipeline creation, deal management, business needs analysis, negotiation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-deal execution.
- Create relationships and have frequent interaction with third-party companies at the CEO/senior management level, representing Amazon’s interests.
- Manage ambiguous and high-judgement opportunities (with significant chance of failure), demonstrating an ability to support a thesis with quantitative and qualitative analysis, strong business judgement, and executive-level communications of complex business problems.
