We’re looking for an enthusiastic researcher to explore the world of business customers and generate insights that connect product experiences to business needs. Your focus will cover all aspects of customer research, from learning more about our customers types to uncovering problems that need to be solved to usability testing new designs. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand the decisions that need to be made and then conduct research projects to gather the correct data to help make those decisions.
Key job responsibilities
* Plan and execute quantitative and qualitative research studies to shape business direction. That may include large-scale surveys, usability testing, or conducting interviews. Select the right methodology, while demonstrating good judgement in making trade-offs between speed and rigor.
* Understand business needs and develop a research strategy and roadmap in partnership with design and product stakeholders.
* Deliver findings that will directly address the business need, create actionable recommendations, and work with stakeholders to shape product roadmaps based on data.
* Generate insights from business analytics, as well as customer feedback. Synthesize and triangulate data from various sources to deliver insights to the business. Know when enough data has been collected to answer the question.
* Generate ideas on new or more efficient ways to answer questions that we have about customers.
* Partner closely with product and business teams on the full product lifecycle (customer research, ideation, proposal, launch and post-launch analysis). Develop relationships and processes to connect decision-makers to customer needs. Collaborate with designers and product managers to solve problems with data.
* Oversee research projects conducted by outside vendors.
* Work across all of Amazon to drive better research practices and bring attention to business customers.
