AWS Services Finance seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the EC2 Capacity and CapEx team, responsible for CapEx planning/analysis of the largest service in AWS, EC2. This position will work closely with finance and business leadership as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Capacity Management, Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Economists to drive thoughtful analysis in the EC2 business. He or she will have the opportunity to lead and influence multiple, high-visibility aspects of managing EC2 capacity including long-term planning, operational controllership, capital efficiency analysis, and ongoing capital reporting and analysis. Additional responsibilities include ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling abilities, robust problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong ownership, curiosity, passion for diving deep, and a desire to learn are ideal fits for this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop the financial analysis processes to support financial planning and close
- Partner with and proactively communicate across the AWS finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business executives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- Write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure capital for senior leadership.
