Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and analysis of distributed software systems.
- Contribute to the overall design of the Kuiper command and control system.
- Developing cloud native software systems in Java, Rust or Python.
- Utilize AWS and other services to build highly available and performant services.
- Be part of the 24x7 operational rotation to support satellite operations.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

The ACME team is responsible for the software provisioning of all devices on Kuiper’s satellites, operating a centralized system that enables secure access and seamless software updates. Our mission is to leverage automation to efficiently provision integrated satellites, ensuring timely deployment in alignment with Kuiper’s objective of delivering global internet coverage.
As part of this team, you will work closely with advanced satellite systems, ensuring their readiness for launch through rigorous software updates, audits, and testing. You will develop and maintain robust tools and services that streamline the launch preparation process, enhancing efficiency and reliability. Additionally, you will play a key role in tracking satellite devices and configurations, contributing to the safe and successful operation of the entire satellite constellation in orbit.
