We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Strategist to join our Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team. In this role you will work across our most complex and strategic customers. Directly working with customer executive teams the Enterprise Security Strategist is critical in addressing critical security needs that enable and accelerate our customer's most important strategic and business goals. You will work across customer executive teams crafting security solutions that enable and accelerate our customer's most important strategic and business goals. The ideal candidate is an innovative cyber and security professional with exceptional stakeholder management skills, who can challenge, dive into details, and demonstrate how AWS can support complex security, resilience, and compliance strategies for C-suite and board-level audiences.
The candidate should have experience leading global technology strategies with enterprise companies, defining technology initiatives, and bringing together multiple solutions to create a holistic vision. They should be a proven expert and thought-leader in complex business-IT transformations, including platform modernization, digital transformation, cloud deployment, security, and enterprise architecture.
Specific qualifications include experience in IT security practices within regulated industries or security-aware environments, the ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive security strategy aligned with risk tolerance and business goals. The candidate will have demonstrated experience across AWS security services and prescriptive guidance. Expertise is required in areas such as defense in depth, security first and zero trust architectures, incident response, threat intelligence, modeling, and response, compliance audits, and risk assessments. A sales background to drive pursuit engagements and strong communication skills to interact with C-suite leadership, technology leaders, and architects are also required.
This key position will have high visibility at the most senior levels of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and AWS senior leadership. You will have the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers and business decision-makers, influencing their roadmaps and fostering innovation to help customers reimagine and transform their businesses using modern digital technologies.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with senior customer leaders (CIO, CTO, CISO) to build a common vision and architecture based on the transformation strategy
- Engage in pursuits that span across multiple Amazon businesses
- Define end-to-end holistic outcome-based solutions in collaboration with sales, strategy, and business development teams
- Ensure multiple solutions work together, align to security best practices, enterprise architecture standards, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits)Serve as the AWS executive technical sponsor for the strategic transformation initiative
- Engage with system integrators, multiple ISVs, and other partners, providing oversight
- Create board-ready presentations articulating the transformation strategy, solution vision, and value case
- Present the strategy and vision to the C-suite, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and CISOsPartner closely with Sales Leadership teams and Field Sales organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Amazon and partners – legal, product, engineering, architecture, security, structuring, and professional services – to help execute a winning pursuit
