Work with our Customers
As a Strategic Account Executive, you'll handle the go-to-market strategy and execution of Cloud Computing sales for Retail, Travel and Financial Services verticals in existing North American accounts. You'll drive market development initiatives, lead sales programs, and collaborate with our Sales, Technical Pre-Sales, Product, Marketing and Business Development teams to deliver impactful outcomes for customers.
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Championing Akamai's Cloud Computing vision and value proposition with Customers, Partners and internal Akamai stakeholders
- Creating a strategic sales plan to drive market development, partnerships, and product adoption for our Cloud Portfolio
- Leading customer engagements that differentiate Akamai's services across all levels, from C-Level executives to DevOps engineers
- Collaborating with Akamai Sales and Pre-Sales leaders to develop and execute opportunity plans for large enterprise clients
- Developing a deep understanding of the Cloud Computing market and driving product development
- Implementing go-to-market initiatives to establish Akamai as a Cloud Computing leader
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8 years of sales experience in Cloud Service Sales (infrastructure and/or Software) in the B2B Enterprise market or its equivalent
- Have experience with application architecture, databases and/or edge computing
- Have experience selling into Retail, Travel and/or Financial Services industries
- Understand existing and emerging cloud technologies, and collaborate with Customers and Partners to create sales opportunities
- Execute a challenger sales methodology, challenging conventional thinking for a differentiated sales experience
- Demonstrate high ethics, integrity, and personal willpower
