- Must adhere to all related OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and DOT safety rules and regulations in concurrence with Company’s Policies and Procedures.
- Authority to shut down any operation that reveals possible harm to self or another employee.
- Must adhere to and be knowledgeable of Company’s Policy and Procedures and must remain abreast of all amendments to the Policy.
- Be alert to and notify Lead Operator or Department Supervisor of changes or irregularities on the production line or process.
- Monitor molding or welding operation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Must be able to fix minor upsets and abnormalities.
- Maintain all tools used on the line.
- All positions must maintain good housekeeping by sweeping and maintaining area during down time.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating 12 hours shifts, as determined by production schedule.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Operator or Department Supervisor.
OS #1 Operator personnel will operate molding equipment as directed to begin molding process by:
- Operating a forklift to place filler panel racks onto conveyor cart.
- Visually inspecting mold for knockouts and accessories, such as mold rails and hardware plates.
- Visually inspecting curtain feeder on every part to ensure proper operations.
- Making sure surge hopper reloads every cycle.
- Maintaining area from all drop-offs and plastic waste products by picking up and sweeping.
- Ensuring that punch press is operating properly.
- Lifting and inserting filler panel inside punch press and use foot pedal to punch press buttons on control panels at appropriate times.
- OS #1 personnel should always be able to relieve Deflash personnel as needed.
Deflasher personnel will use proper tools to dislodge part from mold and rid parts of excess material for final assembly by:
- Removing part from mold using appropriate tools so as not to damage part or mold.
- Using Router, punch holes and remove excess material from part for final assembly.
- Being alert at all times and paying attention to cutting tip in relation to body and electrical cords.
- Maintaining control of router so as not to drop or damage router.
Plastic Welder personnel will prepare mats for perimeter weld by:
- Preparing plastic parts for welding, including buffing, inserting dowels and aligning parts.
- Inserting RFID tag into panels.
- Operating a plastic extrusion welding gun for perimeter welding assuring a consistent and smooth weld bead and that end of weld is tapered properly.
- Operating a forklift to discharge line and load welding pellets in loader.
- Assuring quality control.
Assembler personnel will perform final assembly of final product by:
- Assisting Plastic Welders by buffing, inserting dowels and aligning parts.
- Assuring quality control by verifying bolts, nuts, radius and slots for fasteners have been properly routed.
- Removing parting line flash using a propane torch and/or hand-held scraper.
- Inserting and fastening bolts and nuts on production mats.
- Operating assembling equipment/tools such as air tools, mat stacker and exit conveyor.
- Verifying a clean and legible code is present on each mat.
