Work hard and make history with Amazon’s International Public Policy and Government Affairs Team. The International Public Policy Manager will join a dynamic team that works across Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia Pacific, in support of Amazon’s global consumer and digital businesses. Like our business interests, our policy issues are broad, forward-thinking, and driven by what is best for our customers. The International Public Policy team works with a wide range of national, local, and supranational policymakers, industry organizations, and non-governmental organizations across policy issues spanning the consumer and commercial environment - including but not limited to digital technology, consumer affairs, connectivity, economic development, e-commerce exports, logistics, devices, and tax.
This role will support advocacy and outreach to policymakers for Project Kuiper, Amazon’s initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
The International Public Policy Manager will be part of a Central Strategy Team based in Seattle and will work closely with cross-functional Amazon and Kuiper teams, including Regulatory, Business, and Legal teams, to manage policymaker engagement to support Project Kuiper’s policy priorities around the world. The Manager will be able to immediately manage and enhance international campaigns on telecom and space-related public policy issues.
The ideal candidate will bring both programmatic and policy capabilities, managing and driving international campaigns across cross-functional, global teams, while also developing Amazon positions and materials on connectivity policy matters. Exceptional writing skills, strong ownership (seeing opportunities, anticipating challenges, and resolving problems, no matter how small or large), and working highly collaboratively are “musts” for this role. Program management experience is strongly preferred.
