Are you an experienced community manager who enjoys building lasting relationships with technical communities? Do you intuitively create frameworks and processes to help scale student community programs globally? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a driven and focused senior community manager to lead global community program strategy and growth for student communities.
This role will sit within our AWS Developer Experience organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.
As Sr. Community Program Manager for student communities, you’ll own a global strategy for how we engage with students who are exploring technical degrees and seeking their first experiences with cloud computing. You’ll align internal stakeholders to a common vision for scaling on-campus student user groups (AWS Cloud Clubs), and you’ll identify ways to increase the volume of Clubs, and the impact of activities within each Club.
Key job responsibilities
· Own and evolve global program strategy for scaling student engagement with AWS via student user groups (AWS Cloud Clubs).
· Identify key technology trends, and scope how these trends should influence thinking around student Cloud Club engagement strategy.
· Deliver a vision for how student user groups align to short term business goals while also driving mutual value and earning (long term) trust in student communities.
· Establish internal partnerships and mechanisms so stakeholders across multiple organizations can align to a common AWS Cloud Club growth strategy.
· Create mechanisms and maintain playbooks to ensure stakeholders can seamlessly support growth of AWS Cloud Clubs globally.
· Build and manage processes for analyzing and quantifying the impact (both short and long term) of student engagement via AWS Cloud Clubs. Work with stakeholders to build journeys for graduating students into relevant AWS programs/offerings.
