The Role: We are looking for a talented and driven Creative Program Manager, Technical Publications, to manage and execute the Amazon Device packaging User Experience (UX) inbox documentation development within the Device Packaging Experience (DPX) team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the workflows and development of Quick Start Guide, Warranty Safety Legal Documentations, User Manuals, and Setup Guides. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership, customer obsession, bias for action, and strong ability to deliver results while upholding the highest standards.
Key job responsibilities: As a Creative Program Manager, Technical Publications, you will manage the day-to-day inbox documentation development work-streams across programs and publications change requests post-production. You will establish relationships with stakeholders and collaborate closely with an in-house design team and production vendor to execute. You will also partner with other Creative PMs, Regional PMs, Retail EPMs, and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., hardware/software product managers, Go-to-Market managers, product counsel, hardware compliance legal/engineers, safety and compliance legal) from actual artwork development through Release to Print.
Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate with designers, external design agency, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive inbox documents artwork development for new products and execute packaging change requests
* Create data-driven solutions for technical publications by synthesizing multiple data sources including user studies, survey results, and customer reviews
* Partner with UX research teams to conduct usability studies and implement findings into documentation design
* Drive artwork approvals with stakeholders to meet development schedule through release to print, including managing multiple revision rounds, ensuring compliance requirements, coordinating stakeholder reviews, and maintaining version control until final production handoff to the supplier
* Update and communicate work-back schedule to peers and stakeholders proactively. Communicate delays and escalate effectively, when needed
* Manage, scope, track and maintain programs to stay on budget and schedule; send final files to packaging vendors per standardized SOP
* Develop and/or support initiatives to optimize cross-team mechanisms, procedures, and best practices
