Job Summary:
The position is responsible for completing various monthly financial reporting and budgeting items for Alabama Power Company. These activities are done in support of the financial plan, annual budget and regulatory filings.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports to support business activities
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts
- Prepare various ad hoc financial tasks to support future forecasts and strategies
- Complete all activities accurately, timely and thoroughly, with special attention to published targets, corporate goals, guidelines and management directives

Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field of study required
- Advanced degree is a plus
Experience
- Previous experience in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- Understanding of utility finance, accounting and rate making principles is a plus
- Experience using UIPlanner models are a plus
Knowledge/Skills
- Works well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and easily adjusts to changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relationships with internal business partners
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Personal ownership and initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Other Requirements:
This position is located at APC Corporate Headquarters in downtown Birmingham, AL and a minimum of 4 days in the office is required.
