Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for an experienced Senior Business Manager to join our fast-paced organization. The Senior Business Manager, WWPS Partners, requires a motivated and adaptable individual who will ensure the Director, WWPS Partners can define and execute strategic priorities for the growing global sales organization. This is a highly visible role which serves as a business leader and consultant on numerous critical and often confidential business topics worldwide. This role is a trusted advisor, responsible for connecting and collaborating with key stakeholders in the establishment, communication and measurement of organizational-wide strategic goals and objectives.
Candidates are expected to have an entrepreneurial mindset, with a high tolerance for ambiguity, complexity and bias for action. Candidates must possess the highest level of integrity and management of confidential information. Detail-oriented organizational and process management skills are essential to multi task and manage a wide range of incoming and often competing requests and responsibilities. Sharp business judgment, ability to see the "big picture" and prioritization skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing and have proven results leading global projects and programs. Candidates must also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about challenges and design and implement solutions. Success requires the ability to influence cross functional teams and manage performance goals.
Key job responsibilities
• Strategic Planning and Execution: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Director, WWPS Partners, providing insights and helping set priorities for global sales initiatives. Lead annual operating plan creation in coordination with cross functional teams. Drive special projects related to global cross-functional initiatives. Coordinate with leadership to identify roadblocks and implement solutions that drive operational excellence and accelerate revenue.
• Executive Reporting and Analysis: Act as the Director, WWPS Partners representative in key meetings, summarizing discussions and ensuring action items are executed. Prepare, synthesize and deliver reports to Executive/C Suite leaders, highlighting key initiatives, insights, and strategic recommendations. Maintain a forward-looking perspective, anticipating operational needs and proposing proactive solutions
• Program & Project Management – act as valuable connector, bridging gaps and facilitating communication and collaboration within the organization to remove roadblocks and keep priorities on target. Create and distribute the annual rhythm of the business calendar with key due dates and deliverables from key cross functional teams.
• Leadership & Team Engagement: Ensure effective and efficient Leadership team meetings including offsites by strategically planning agendas, logistics, and materials. Take meeting minutes, track action items and follow-ups. Coordinate and lead quarterly hybrid Town Halls for global team members. Craft employee communications to include slack and email
• Time Management: Liaise with Executive Assistant to update short term day to day calendar to accommodate last minute business issues or crises that require schedule changes
• Operational Alignment: Work closely with global teams to unify practices, ensuring consistent execution of company-wide strategies
• Public Speaking (external): Be a thought partner and help draft important executive presentations and strategies. Create and manage a calendar of external speaking and media events in partnership with Public Relations
• Flexibility: Willingness to flex to meet the needs of the organization, including the ability to context switch and support projects in different domain areas
• Problem Resolution: Work closely with leadership team fighting fires when necessary. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise within the organization or affect the Director, WWPS Partners, agenda.
