INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIST - PLANT HATCH (Baxley, GA)
JOB SUMMARY: The Instructional Technologist is responsible for the maintenance of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) processes at the site.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in education desirable
Background/Experience Requirements:
- A total of three (3) years of commercial power plant experience of which a minimum of one (1) year is nuclear power plant experience
- Commercial nuclear training experience
- Knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and support the maintenance of SAT processes and documentation for the site - Ensure all site training programs maintain accreditation
- Coordinate New Employee Orientation (NEO) training - Coordinate leadership training and seminars, including SOER 10-02 case studies
- Coordinate and facilitate instructor initial and continuing training
- Coordinate and oversee the training observation process
- Coordinate, facilitate and participate in training self-assessments
- Fill a designated position in the Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
- Coordinate mock board for accredited training programs
- Lead accreditation activities
- Represent the site at industry instructional technologist seminars Southern Nuclear's highest priority is the safe and reliable operation of our current fleet.
