ARC is looking for a Product Owner to join our team! As part of ARC’s Corporate Data Product portfolio, set, prioritize, and evaluate the work generated by the product team to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product. You will gather feature requests from customers, develop detailed user stories to implement new products/enhancements, schedule releases and coordinate sprints. This role will work closely with the Product and Portfolio managers to effectively prioritize product enhancements and manage competing product priorities. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and lead the product team in delivering on the product vision. You will identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities- Communicate product manager’s vision and direction to the product team and stakeholders throughout the project through product road-map and growth opportunities.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product while also providing backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
- Develop use cases and prioritize user stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Demonstrate deep experience working within a development organization and cross functional teams such as Customer Experience, UI/UX, Development, DevOps and QA. Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
- Make sure that the product backlog is always updated so the development team always has work available and estimated. Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
- Develop a strong understanding of the product and its customers/users.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience
- Demonstrating extensive experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Product Manager
- Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of the vision of the product from an end-user, customer, and stakeholder point of view with an undeniable understanding of how each backlog item fits into the overall product roadmap and larger business goals
- Must have deep knowledge of airline & agency customers, data and processes and apply this knowledge to manage new and existing products and services
- Writing tasks, stories, and epics from a user point-of-view, including measurable acceptance/success criteria
- Demonstrating familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, and/or other cloud-based technologies
- Managing the development lifecycle in the Atlassian suite of tools
- Working closely with QA to perform acceptance testing of new features
