What you get to do:
As a Security Officer, you will serve as an integral part of the security team completing on the job trainings, operating the Dispatch and Communications Center, and responding to calls for Security to de-escalate and resolve issues involving guests, employees, and the public. You will also gain experience managing a Dispatch/Communications center and responding to disturbances in need of Security and Law Enforcement response. You will:
Facilitate all park-wide communication via radio, phone, and email
Monitor weather throughout the day to ensure safe operation for all rides and attractions
Maintain records and logs to ensure important and timely information is accessible
Monitor video camera surveillance to ensure guest safety & enforce park policy
Maintain and enforce safety standards
Monitor Security checkpoints and posts – inspecting all bags and persons accessing or leaving the property
Complete routine patrols of the park and surrounding properties on foot and in patrol vehicles
Provide guests, employees, and vendors with safe and secure environment
Work independently or within in a team to provide a consistent message and security presence
Respond and provide aid for Emergency situations
Complete incident reports
Complete assigned tasks from management as needed

What else is important:
At least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Minimum 1 year Security, Law Enforcement, or comparable experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience in completing incident reports
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high aptitude for computer software systems
Must be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safety
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat (both in and out of costume)
Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
Must be available to work shift rotations including: 7:00AM-3:30PM, 3:00 PM-11:30PM, and 11:00PM-7:30AM
Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
