As part of our growing US SMB Marketing team, we are looking for an experienced content/event marketing leader who is passionate about helping small businesses succeed on Amazon. In this role, you will own the development and optimization of strategic content frameworks that guide messaging priorities across a team of 10+ marketers. You will directly own content development for highly visible strategic SMB events such as Amazon Accelerate. You are excited about bringing business strategies to life through storytelling, using data, insights, and industry trends to deliver inspiring customer experiences, executed flawlessly. You seek to work autonomously, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously, and prioritizing accordingly to contribute to ambitious growth plans.
Key job responsibilities
- Research: conduct customer research around preferred channels, tools, formats, and topics to inform content strategy
- Strategy: formulate content and marketing strategies, and align internal teams on content development priorities across business goals and customer problems
- Execution: develop event content according to the highest standards across multiple formats, and effectively drive legal and PR approvals; manage a budget
- Stakeholder management: effectively communicate and project manage across a wide range of stakeholders, from executive speakers, to external talent, to agency management
- Reporting: identify success metrics, measure the impact of your initiatives, gather feedback, and leverage insights to improve go-forward strategies

The global SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) marketing team serves sales unmanaged advertisers globally. Our mission is twofold: 1) Grow Amazon Ads awareness & consideration amongst SMBs globally 2) Drive sponsored ads demand for the self service (SSO) channel.
