The AWS Monetization team in Commerce Platform organization seeks an Audit Automation Leader to drive automation of audit processes and enhance control frameworks across AWS Billing Operations. In this role, you'll own control efficacy goals by implementing preventive and detective controls through existing audit platforms and partnering with engineering teams to integrate controls into their services. Working directly with engineering teams, product managers, and service owners, you'll implement control frameworks that ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of billing operations.
This role combines technical expertise with deep understanding of control frameworks and risk management principles. You'll perform data analysis to validate control effectiveness, and review Order-to-Cash processes to identify control gaps through metrics-driven approaches. You'll develop the guidance framework for when and how controls should be implemented or deprecated, and test controls before deployment to ensure they effectively catch billing defects. Using existing audit tools and platforms, you'll help teams implement monitoring solutions and anomaly detection systems for early identification of billing issues.
The ideal candidate brings strong scripting skills and experience collaborating with engineering teams on control implementation. You should understand how to leverage AWS audit platforms effectively, work across teams to build comprehensive control frameworks that scale, and know when to automate or deprecate dependencies to reduce system noise. Your work will establish standards for billing accuracy controls while ensuring efficient, maintainable solutions that maintain the integrity of AWS billing operations.
