Service UVC and ionic air cleaning systems. Test, repair, and replace associated equipment such as boilers, chillers, air handling units, pneumatic control systems, electronic control systems, cooling towers, motor starters, pump motors, etc.Repairs and maintains chemical feed systems necessary to maintain cooling tower and boiler water quality.Performs vibration monitoring and dynamic balancing on cooling fans and blowers.Performs preventive maintenance to all HVACR equipment including inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and calibrations to ensure proper operation of equipment.Maintains an inventory of equipment and materials on service trucks.Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration.Understanding of ice machines and commercial refrigeratorsWorks with outside contractors as needed.Performs all duties pertaining to hazardous waste operations in accordance with all applicable requirements.Perform other job duties as assigned.Customer Service CommitmentWaterOne employees shall continuously strive to meet or exceed the expectations of both their internal and external customers. Issues shall be resolved as promptly as possible, with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction.QualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED.Completion of a HVAC/R vocational school or A.A.S Degree: HVAC, or completion of an HVAC/R apprenticeship program. Two years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R equipment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting the above requirements.Experience with and the ability to diagnose and perform needed repairs to equipment or components associated with building automation and climate control systems.Experience in replacing expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units, and other components of HVACR equipment.Experience in cooling tower and boiler water treatment systems and chemical feeds.Experience with all applicable requirements pertaining to hazardous work operations.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTroubleshoot malfunctioning heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.Communicate with internal customers about their needs and explain technical issues.Familiar with proper nomenclature of all tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction and maintenance of HVACR equipment.Capability to retain knowledge to maintain system control equipment, and electric motors, starters, primary pumping units, HVAC units, and structural circuits.Interpret and work from specifications, drawings, manuals, sketches, and other verbal instructions.Basic math skills.Proficiency in the use of computers and basic computer applications. Possess a valid driver's license and continuously meet WaterOne driving standards.Ability to communicate well in English, both orally and in writing. Must be a good listener.Establish and maintain effective working relations with other WaterOne stakeholders.Knowledgeable in proper confined space entry, the safe handling of hazardous chemicals, and all other applicable safety requirements.Available for emergency call-out & occasional overtime. Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background verification in accordance with WaterOne standards.Preferred QualificationsAssociates or Bachelor’s degree.Current EPA Refrigerant Recovery Type Universal Certification or Type 2 Certification.Five years of experience in a commercial HVAC service role.Two years of experience using a BMS/BAS control system, and ability to troubleshoot issues or administrative role.Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repair of commercial/industrial chillers and boilers.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
