Position Summary:
Conducts quality, occupational health, safety and/or environmental audits and inspects facilities within geographic area of responsibility to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory laws. Conducts orientations, visits work sites, and distributes literature to implement and promote quality, occupational health, safety and/or environmental policies and procedures. Analyzes and interprets scientific and technical journals, financial reports and regulatory documents. Develops procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements. Presents information and responds to questions or concerns from employees, managers, clients and the general public. Responds to inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies and/or community groups. May assist or train lower level coordinators. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Accountable for safety, inventory, planning, execution, and personnel within assigned area.
- Consistently identify areas for improvement in safety, quality, cost, customer service and employee relations within assigned area.
- Act as a liasion between NPK HQ and field personnel in order to drive strategic direction.
- Responsible for building effective teams and developing personnel in order to drive growth and strategic direction within area.
- Consistently conduct problem/solution analysis at both a strategic and functional level.
- Establish & communicate metrics that drive sustained performance of the region.
Education& Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (educational equivalent), or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of education, AND 3 years experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Service, or HSE. Thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process. Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management. Professional certifications may be required.
