Title: Programmer Analyst II

Duties: Utilize experience with business intelligence (BI) on cloud and on-premises to implement complex analytical solutions accessing data from multiple sources. Contribute to data architecture discussions providing insights on performance improvement and right source modeling from a BI perspective. Develop, design, analyze, test, and integrate web-based and client/server applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Envision stakeholder requirements and create POCs to satisfy business needs. Review architecture changes and recommend fixes, improvements, and best practices. Proficiently utilize BI and ETL tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Amazon Quick Sight for creating interactive dashboards and real-time data analysis. Utilize coding languages like SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Script, Java, M Language, and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Netezza, AWS, Teradata. Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose solutions to improve data visualization, reporting and dashboard performance. Obtain, manipulate, and analyze data using statistical approaches to derive actionable insights. Create analytics language for insights. Understand requirements, gather data, conduct analysis, provide quantitative insights via presentations, reports, dashboards. Design and implement reporting solutions for stakeholders to manage business and make effective decisions. Monitor, develop, and propose new metrics. Make actionable intelligence available across customer services. Develop requirements and specifications by collaborating with business and development teams. Perform root cause analysis, impact assessment, and Voice of Customer deep dives to build better products, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve customer experience. Utilize SQL and SAS for data manipulation including outlier analysis, data linking, missing variable treatment, and data exploration. Work cross-functionally combining analytics findings with other data sources for comprehensive root cause analysis. Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: automation, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, or a related occupation involving analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:
Five (5) years in the following:
- Working on different Business Intelligence tools including MicroStrategy, Quick Sight, or Tableau.
Four (4) years in each of the following:
- Performing root cause analysis and impact assessments on data sets
- Developing requirements and specifications for BI applications in collaboration with business and development teams.
Three (3) years in each of the following:
- Designing and implementing enterprise BI solutions
- Working with ETL and different databases including Oracle, Redshift, or SQL Server
- Utilizing different coding languages including SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Script, or Python.
Two (2) years in the following:
- Hands on experience with AWS services and infrastructure, including EC2 or S3.
Salary: $170,400/year.
