We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) who is capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, and have a strong will to get things done! A Sr. TPM at AWS works on real world problems on a global scale. They own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology, which impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world. Because you take pride in setting the standard for engineering excellence, you are a hands-on, pragmatic problem solver that easily balances trade-offs between competing interests. You thrive in a fast-moving team environment, where you are able to juggle complex dependencies and requirements while producing optimal solutions. Ambiguity and creativity are both expected and the norm.
Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager, you will consistently apply strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions, recognizing when designs/solutions require additional technical guidance. You will drive and coordinate with external teams on their dependent work, as well as spearhead project delivery process improvement initiatives across the API Gateway team. In this role, you will work with Product Management, engineering and our organization’s senior leadership to make sure we are building the best customer experience for our customers.
A day in the life
As AWS API Gateway’s TPM, you will help lead end to end project and program deliverables for the team You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business strategy into detailed technical requirements with a clear timeline by exercising technical and business judgment.
