The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plymouth, MN and Minnetonka, MN locations in the Electrophysiology Division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
The Calibration Coordinator performs various administrative tasks for the calibration department. Manage and maintain the calibration program: This includes overseeing the scheduling, execution, and documentation of calibration activities for various types of equipment, such as torque tools, electronic equipment, force gages, pressure gages, dimensional equipment and various other inspection, measurement, and test equipment.
What You’ll Work On
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors: Liaise with various departments, including production, quality assurance, and engineering, to minimize disruption during calibration activities. Schedule and coordinate with external calibration service providers.
- Maintain calibration documentation and records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of calibration activities, including results, procedures, and certificates. Manage calibration management systems and databases.
- Review calibration documentation and labeling.
- Support quality assurance initiatives: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA regulations, ISO standards) and participate in audits.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, ISO-13485 other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Coordinator job experience or equivalent role (1+yrs of experience)
- Technical background: Strong understanding of calibration concepts, techniques, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with calibration software, i.e., calibration recall software CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Infor EAM, Maximo
- The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is also required; this requirement includes clear, understandable speech and demonstrated comprehension skills.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

The base pay for this position is
