We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Senior Environmental Project Engineer specializing in environmental site assessment, contaminated site remediation, and regulatory compliance to join our Bedford, NH office. The Environmental Engineer will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting consulting projects throughout New England and beyond. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions – What You Will Do
- Conduct environmental remediation system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance for groundwater and soil vapor recovery and treatment systems, including performance data evaluation and regulatory reporting.
- Perform environmental site investigations including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and air sampling following applicable state and federal standards to evaluate contamination and cleanup options.
- Prepare Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), work plans, and reports for environmental site investigation and remediation projects.
- Support remedial alternatives assessments, technology evaluations, cost estimates, and remediation system design including pilot testing and cleanup oversight.
- Develop technical reports, permit applications, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, and clients to develop environmental strategies and remediation recommendations.

Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental site assessment, contaminated site investigations, groundwater/soil remediation, and environmental compliance.
- Engineer in Training (EIT)/Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with environmental sampling protocols, groundwater monitoring, remediation technologies, data analysis, and environmental modeling, with mechanical aptitude for field work operations.
- Experience with NHDES, Brownfields, and Superfund regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills with flexibility to manage shifting priorities and deliver client-focused solutions that anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel out of state for extended field events and comfortable working in varied outdoor conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.
- Must be able to visit project sites and use heavy field equipment, power tools, and ladders as required.
- The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment as required.
- Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexible daily hours.
- Located in Bedford, NH with ability to work hybrid.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Approximately 30-40% of time will be spent in the field.
