Amazon is looking for an innovative News Producer to join our dynamic internal newsroom telling compelling and engaging stories of our 800,000+ associates at the heart of Amazon’s U.S. Operations. Joining our team provides a unique opportunity to help inform and engage Amazon employees spanning the entire organization.
The News Producer will own the regular production of a fast-paced, short-form multi-screen news video series designed for busy employees. We prioritize “news-you-can-use” stories with strong calls to action. The right candidate is a creative storyteller and a stickler for accuracy who has a demonstrated track record of creating broadcasts people truly connect with in an automated control room setting. You’ll be expected to own projects from initial conception through final delivery, including pitching story ideas, logistical coordination, scripting, editing, recording, owning the approvals process, and scheduling on-camera hosts. You know when to be quick and scrappy, and when to “go big” on a story. You love new technology and are a leader in implementing AI tools and processes to make your job easier and your productions better. This is a hands-on position that includes executing creative direction, navigating ambiguity, working cross-functionally with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and providing creative solutions in the moment, all while continuously raising the bar for our team’s video quality.
This position will also have the opportunity to take the lead on special productions such as All Team meetings, tent-pole event broadcasts, executive uplinks, field-producing profile stories, and more.
This position is based in Seattle.
