Job Description
The Rad Tech Assistant reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Provides support to the clinical department. Assists with exam flow: stocks rooms, turns over rooms between patients, rooms patient, assists with patient transfer / lifts as necessary, supports safe patient care environment. Assists with paperwork as assigned. Responds professionally when interacting with patients, public and department/hospital staff. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- HOURS ARE: 11PM-3:00AM, NIGHTS
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assists with patient flow: rooming patients, providing patient support and safe environment
- Assists with room flow: room turnover, inventory stocking, patient lift assistance
- Assists with paperwork as assigned.
- Helps maintain the equipment and assists in cleaning the department, except for those duties pertaining directly to the Environmental Services personnel.
- Contributes to a team effort and understands the importance of good patient relations.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including: pediatric, geriatric and general population.
- Practices good telephone etiquette when communicating information regarding work related situations, handles all telephone calls in a professional manner, and answers all questions or obtains answers to all patient inquiries.
- Communicates with all care providers to coordinate care and support seamless service
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS within 30 days of hire
- Skilled in the proper handling of patients. Must be courteous and attentive to all patients
- Computer literacy is essential. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Physical Demands Requirement:
- Physical demands required for this role include lift/carry up to 50 pounds and a push/pull force up to 50 pounds

- Additional language preferred.
