The Opportunity
Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is looking for Associate Director, Portfolio Intelligence based in Alameda, CA. You will be responsible for defining and executing the data and analytics strategy across the PMO. You will lead the development of KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive visibility, accountability, and performance across the organization.
You will also collaborate with the cross functional team to enhance customer engagement through data-driven communications and support operational and project-level initiatives that align with business goals.
What You’ll Work On
- Define and implement the data, reporting, and analytics strategy for the PMO.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility.
- Lead the integration and optimization as a communication and engagement platform.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and IT teams to align data initiatives with customer engagement strategies.
- Support project and operational activities by providing actionable insights and performance tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement in data processes, tools, and governance.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic planning.
- This role is highly visible and strategic, with responsibility for aligning data and analytics initiatives with organizational priorities. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure that data is leveraged effectively to drive business outcomes.
- While this role may not have direct budget ownership, you will influence resource allocation and investment decisions related to data infrastructure, tools, and reporting capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline appropriate to the project or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
- Has successfully led several high complexity projects from beginning to end.
- Demonstrated technical skills and management judgment appropriate to the project.
- Demonstrated expertise in PM tools and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Product Portfolio Management and, new product introduction
- Require strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across variety of departments to align plans and resolve conflict
- Require process-oriented thinking, focused on continuous improvement and lessons learned; have demonstrated ability to define and implement complex and interdependent business processes
- Require strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ideally the incumbent has general knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg FDA, ISO, QSR design controls.)
