This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. The ASP Specialist Organization is hiring a Head of Go-To-Market Specialists for the Healthcare and Lifesciences (HCLS) customer segment. The Specialist team for HCLS is responsible for working with customers to accelerate their adoption of AWS for complex solutions, services, and workloads in domains that include Gen AI, High Performance Computing, large scale data processing and analytics, high performance storage, application and data modernization, and others.
AWS is looking for an accomplished leader with experience across product, business, and technology that has worked with large Enterprises and high-growth organizations in the Healthcare and Lifesciences customer segment to accelerate their cloud-native journey for the role of Leader of Specialist Organization for HCLS. In this capacity, the leader will be the single-threaded owner for specialists and work alongside the leadership team of the HCLS industry team at AWS, look around corners to prioritize investments and will lead a team of Specialists and Solutions Architects that provide expertise across multiple domains. The Specialist team that this person will lead also acts as an aggregation point for feedback and input from all the customers in HCLS that directly feeds into the roadmap for product and services team at AWS. While leading a team of technical, product, and business experts, you will lead domain-based discussions with C-level business and IT executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and various lines of businesses. You will play a critical role in taking the voice of the customer and sharing it back to the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) team to ensure customer feedback is amplified to effectively influence our technology roadmaps and Go-To-Market plans. This role will contribute to the overall performance of the business globally measured by revenue growth, net new customers, and product and service influence. You will have overachieved throughout your career and built strong, deep relationships with F1000 and/or G2000 organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO / VP level, as well as background that enables them to easily interact with IT operations leaders, software developers, and infrastructure and applications architects. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work across the business to set vision, objectives and to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to dive deep is a must.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Leading the creation of the HCLS GTM plan, as well as oversee tactical execution, of insight-based programs and go to market activities with a focus on expanding AWS market share within top customers, segments, and verticals
- Using your business acumen to drive revenue, develop sales programs and identify new markets and opportunities. You would work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers to understand their requirements and turn them into reality
- Partnering with AWS services and industry teams to identify workloads that impact our AWS solutions
- A background in mapping the application of technology to customer business scenarios that help our customers understand how to improve their operational outcomes through the use of AWS solutions
- Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise and mid-market customers as well as our valued partners and serve as the primary Executive Briefing Center representative of the WWSO business
- Act as a trusted business advisor while deep diving into data, creating high impact programs, and tracking progress while tuning for desired results
- Be a leader of global, decentralized teams. You will guide cross functional teams to drive AWS adoption in the key workloads that use the WWSO portfolio
- Define, drive, measure, manage and coach on workload focused goals across the business
