PRIMARY PURPOSE
Drive When You Want. Deliver What Matters.
As a Part-Time Driver (Spare), you'll play a vital role in keeping our stores stocked and our supply chain moving-while enjoying the flexibility of part-time work. You'll safely deliver grocery and perishable products to company stores and transport backhauls back to our distribution centers, all while maintaining the highest safety and performance standards.
This role is ideal for experienced CDL drivers looking for flexible schedules, consistent routes, and a safety-first culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe & Reliable Driving
• Safely operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with company driving standards and DOT regulations.
• Deliver grocery and perishable products to company stores as scheduled.
• Transport backhauls from stores, vendors, and relay locations back to the distribution center.
• Assist with unloading deliveries at store locations when required.
Compliance & Equipment Care
• Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT Regulation 392.7.
• Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and backhaul documentation.
• Ensure all DOT paperwork, logs, and qualifications remain current.
• Verify load count, condition, and securement at all pickup and drop locations.
• Confirm proper operating condition of tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
Team & Operational Support
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and operations teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Minimum 3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience (One year may be waived for graduates of an approved truck driving school with certification)
• No more than one moving violation in the past 3-year rolling period
• Ability to meet all DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including physical and drug screening
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, bend, reach, and stoop as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
