AWS Professional Services is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive our Professional Services sales planning and strategy at AWS. This pivotal role will be responsible for orchestrating and executing critical sales planning activities, ensuring alignment with AWS's broader sales strategy while optimizing performance for the Professional Services division.
Key job responsibilities
Sales Quota Setting: Lead the development and implementation of data-driven, achievable sales quota strategies for the Professional Services team. Collaborate with Finance and Sales leadership to ensure quota alignment with overall revenue targets.
Customer Segmentation: Spearhead the creation and refinement of customer segmentation models specific to Professional Services. Identify high-value customer segments and develop targeted strategies to maximize revenue potential.
Sales Territory Planning: Design and optimize sales territories to ensure balanced opportunity distribution and maximize market coverage. Conduct regular territory analyses to identify areas of growth and potential realignment needs. Work closely with leadership to implement and communicate territory changes effectively.
Sales Headcount Planning: Develop comprehensive headcount plans aligned with business growth projections and revenue targets. Determine optimal span of control for sales managers to ensure effective team management and performance.
Sales Revenue and Bookings Target Planning: Partner with Finance and Operations on development of revenue and bookings targets for Professional Services, ensuring alignment with overall AWS financial goals. Work closely with Finance and Operations to validate targets and adjust as needed based on market conditions and internal factors.
Annual Sales Planning Process: Define, implement, and lead all mechanisms, schedules, and activities required for the comprehensive Annual Sales Planning process for Professional Services. Ensure seamless integration with the larger AWS Sales planning schedule and timelines. Drive cross-functional collaboration to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Sales, Finance, and Professional Services teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies. Facilitate regular communication and feedback loops between teams to drive continuous improvement in planning processes. Act as the primary liaison between Professional Services and other AWS divisions for all sales planning-related activities.
